On Thursday night, Sept 11th, 2008 Jake tested the weapons portion of the Shodan Shinsa for SBK.
It was vigorous, intense and exacting.

| Jake did the Aikido waza part of the test on Saturday, Sept 13. Yudansha from four cities enjoyed ukemi with Jake while 295 techniques were called out in Japanese. With three different schools/styles of aikido represented, Jake had his hands full at times, leading some ukes through techniques they had never seen. Heartfelt thanks to those who drove up from Albuquerque for the day. |
